Investment Programmes

WFT will aim to invest £50 million into socio – economic activities in Sub Saharan Africa and the UK over the next 5 – 10 years with the aim to develop and support individuals to become independent, contributing and caring members of society. We are a Scottish based Trust with a Global Outlook.

WFT is focussed on three main investment areas which will be delivered by strategic partners and assessed against key performance indicators. The Trust will utilise both finance and expertise to enhance the delivery of our objectives and we will support and manage our investments to ensure they have the greatest chance to achieve success.

WFT has three clear areas of investment focus:

Making Markets Work for the Poor
Sub Saharan Africa

Anticipated to be 75% of the overall investment.

Volunteering Overseas & Global Citizenship

Anticipated to be 12.5% of the overall investment.

Developing Young People in Scotland

Anticipated to be 12.5% of the overall investment.
